Plan · The care notebook

Know how the plan would be reviewed.

Ask what happens after the decision to start—or not start.

Ask what would be measured, and why.

Research reviewed on September 28, 2026 tracked growth hormone, blood sugar, blood fats and IGF-1, a substance made in response to growth hormone that helps the body grow.

These research measurements do not set a testing timetable for everyone receiving sermorelin.

Ask what each proposed test would tell the person treating you about your health, what it would leave unanswered, and how it could change the plan.

Also ask what change in daily life would count toward the original goal. Keep that answer beside the blood-test discussion.

Agree on the review questions.

  • Who will review results with me?
  • When would we revisit whether the plan is helping?
  • What finding would lead to more assessment or a different plan?
  • Who would handle a concern between visits?

Review plan and unanswered questions:

Get instructions for the medicine you would receive.

Storage rules depend on the exact medicine, rather than a single rule for every product.

Ask the pharmacist who supplies the medicine for written instructions for that medicine. Ask what to do if its label or delivery leaves you unsure.

Ask your pharmacist or the person who prescribed the medicine to explain how it is given. Keep their answer with the product information.

How to report a medicine problem

Patients may report medicine problems to the FDA using MedWatch, its free reporting programme.

Write the product details and what happened in your notebook. Ask the person treating you to address the health problem itself.
